What is the Gatsby Motorsports Database?

The Gatsby Motorsports Database (GMD) is our long-term project to build one of the most readable, fan-friendly motorsport libraries on the internet.
Inside, you’ll find:

  • Season-by-season Formula 1 history

  • Le Mans winners and storylines

  • Indy 500 details and summaries

  • Season-by-season Can-Am history

  • Easy-to-follow formats designed to give fans a clear, entertaining overview without digging through old archives

It’s built for people who want clean, simple, reliable motorsport storytelling — ranging from 1950s F1 to 1970s Can Am, to the confusing Indy 500s of the 90s to modern endurance racing.

Where can I read about a specific F1, Le Mans, or Indy season?

Go to the Gatsby Motorsports Database, choose the series (F1, Le Mans, Indy), and then select the year or era you want to dive into.
Each season page includes:

  • A clean summary of the racing year

  • Key moments and storylines

  • Winners and results

  • Context that makes the season easy to understand

Think of it like a curated museum for motorsport history.

Where can I see all the cars in your garage?

Visit Gatsby’s Cars in the top menu.
Each car — from our 1963 Porsche 356C to the Jaguar F-Type manual — has its own page with photos, backstory, and why it means something to us.

Where can I find the slot-car tracks, RC projects, and custom builds?

Everything we build lives inside Gatsby’s Builds.
You’ll find:

  • Slot-car track layouts

  • 3D-printed parts

  • RC conversions

  • Custom liveries

  • Miniature circuits like Monaco, Le Mans, and Las Vegas

All documented with photos, notes, and the story behind how we made them.

What is The Gatsby Cup?

The Gatsby Cup is our own internal racing league — combining 1/32 slot cars, timing systems, custom circuits, and full championship scoring.
Inside this section you’ll find:

  • Current standings

  • Race recaps

  • Driver leaderboards

  • GTD Pro / GTM Am breakdowns

  • Special events and multi-round series

It’s the beating heart of our garage.

How does ordering from the shop work?

We ship out all store orders at the end of each month in one batch.
This helps us keep costs down and maintain the quality of the products we send out.

Please don’t select or request expedited shipping — we’re a small shop, and we want to make sure everything arrives safely and on time within the monthly cycle.

You’ll receive a confirmation as soon as your order ships. Thank you so much for supporting our little car-loving corner of the internet.

Who runs Gatsby’s Garage?

Gatsby’s Garage is run by Shane, with a whole lot of help from Tiara and their Pomsky, Gatsby — the official mascot and co-pilot of everything we do.
