Built in 2023
Ford Focus RS WRC
Debuted in 1999 as the successor to the Escort in Ford’s World Rally Championship program. Built by M-Sport, it featured a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, four-wheel drive, and aggressive rally aero, making it instantly competitive on gravel and tarmac stages alike. Driven by stars such as Colin McRae, the Focus quickly became a fan favorite and remains one of the most recognizable rally cars of its era.
Tamiya’s detailed 1/10 scale body captured the wide arches, sharp bumpers, and distinct rally profile of the Focus RS WRC. Paired with their proven touring car chassis, it offered both rally-inspired looks and dependable on-road performance. The model has since become a classic in Tamiya’s rally lineup, often customized by builders to stand out from the traditional works liveries.
This build is finished in PS-3 light blue, chosen to match the other Ford models in the collection. Stripped of sponsor decals and presented in a clean, livery-free style, the paint emphasizes the Focus’s bold rally shape while tying it into a cohesive family theme. The result is a distinctive interpretation of Ford’s WRC contender, blending motorsport heritage with a personalized finish.
