Ferrari F2001

One of the most successful Formula 1 cars of the modern era, designed by Rory Byrne and powered by a screaming 3.0-liter V10. Driven by Michael Schumacher, it dominated the 2001 season, securing both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships with ease. Its combination of aerodynamic refinement, mechanical grip, and relentless reliability set a new benchmark for Ferrari in the early 2000s.

Tamiya brought this machine to 1/10 scale with the F201 chassis, a highly innovative 4WD platform featuring a dual-belt system, fully independent suspension, and a scale-correct narrow body. Unlike traditional pan-car RC F1 models, the F201 delivered both realism and performance, making it one of the most advanced Formula 1 kits of its time. The detailed Ferrari F2001 shell captured the sleek lines and technical sophistication of Schumacher’s championship-winning car.

Finished in the iconic Schumacher championship livery, the RC car wears the vivid Ferrari red adorned with period sponsor markings. The sharp nose, sculpted sidepods, and tall rear wing are all faithfully represented, making the model instantly recognizable as the car that cemented Schumacher’s dominance. Combined with the advanced F201 chassis, it stands as both a piece of RC innovation and a tribute to Ferrari’s golden era in Formula 1.
