Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG DTM

Inspired by Mercedes’ success in the German Touring Car Championship during the early 2000s. With its flared arches, aggressive aero, and V8 power, the CLK DTM became one of the most extreme homologation specials ever offered for the road, directly linked to the machines that competed in one of the most competitive touring car series in the world.

Tamiya recreated the CLK DTM in 1/10 scale with a detailed polycarbonate body mounted on the TT-02 chassis. Known for its durability and accessibility, the TT-02 is a shaft-driven 4WD platform that provides smooth performance and a wide range of tuning options. Its versatility makes it a perfect base for both race-style builds and custom interpretations.

This custom example is painted in PS-17 Metallic Green, a bold departure from the silver tones typically associated with Mercedes race cars. The clean bodywork is paired with a stock brushed motor, delivering dependable running characteristics while keeping the build close to its factory roots. Together, the metallic finish and simple setup create a distinctive take on the CLK AMG DTM, blending motorsport heritage with a personal custom touch.
