Porsche Carrera GT

One of the most celebrated analog supercars of the 2000s. Revealed in 2003, it featured a 5.7-liter V10 derived from Porsche’s racing program, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis. With its raw performance, striking design, and iconic sound, the Carrera GT became an instant classic and remains one of Porsche’s most revered modern legends.

Tamiya captured the car’s sleek proportions with a detailed polycarbonate body mounted to the TB-02 chassis, a belt-driven 4WD platform. The TB-02 offered tunable suspension, smooth drivetrain operation, and a strong balance of performance and reliability, making it an excellent match for Porsche’s mid-engined flagship. The combination of realistic bodywork and capable chassis engineering created one of the standout kits of its time.

This build is finished in PS-59 Dark Metallic Blue, giving the Carrera GT a refined, elegant appearance that contrasts with its race-bred origins. Underneath, it runs a brushed motor, providing dependable performance while keeping the setup straightforward and true to Tamiya’s classic touring car spirit. Together, the metallic blue body and TB-02 chassis make for a striking 1/10 scale interpretation of Porsche’s iconic supercar.
