Built 2023

McLaren Mercedes MP4/23

The car that carried Lewis Hamilton to his first Formula 1 World Championship in 2008. Designed under Martin Whitmarsh and Paddy Lowe, it featured a Mercedes-Benz FO108V V8 engine, advanced aerodynamics, and cutting-edge electronics. The MP4/23 is remembered not only for its performance but also for Hamilton’s dramatic final-lap title decider in Brazil, cementing his place among the sport’s greats.

This RC version uses Tamiya’s F104 chassis, a direct-drive platform engineered for realism and performance. With its narrow track, simple suspension layout, and smooth drivetrain, the F104 captures the look and feel of a modern Formula 1 car in 1/10 scale. Built to Tamiya’s proven specifications, it provides responsive handling and a stable base for a Grand Prix replica.

The body is finished in the famous chrome and day-glow red Vodafone livery, instantly recognizable as one of the most iconic McLaren paint schemes. From its sculpted nose to the towering rear wing, the MP4/23 stands out as both a detailed scale replica and a tribute to Hamilton’s breakthrough championship. Combined with the F104 chassis, it is a striking RC homage to one of McLaren’s most memorable cars.
