McLaren 720X

A creative off-road reinterpretation of the McLaren 720S, blending the sleek design of a modern supercar with the rugged stance of a lifted rally machine. Using the Bittydesign Seven20 body, the build takes inspiration from desert rally specials while maintaining the flowing lines and dramatic proportions of McLaren’s GT3-inspired road car. The result is a unique hybrid that combines exotic styling with off-road capability.

The body sits on a Tamiya XV-02 rally chassis, a platform designed for mixed-surface performance with full-time 4WD and durable suspension geometry. Power is delivered by a Traxxas brushless motor, with desert rally tires providing grip on dirt, gravel, and sand. A full LED lighting kit enhances both functionality and realism, making the 720X equally suited for night runs or display.

Finished in PS-16 Blue, the body highlights the curves of the Seven20 while the lifted stance gives it an aggressive rally-ready presence. Inside, a realistic 3D-printed interior mold of Shane and Gatsby brings life to the cockpit, made even more visible thanks to the car’s numerous glass roof sections. The combination of custom detailing, rugged chassis engineering, and playful personality makes the 720X a truly one-of-a-kind RC creation.
