Williams BMW FW24

Driven by Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. With its BMW V10 engine, distinctive blue-and-white Compaq livery, and competitive pace, the FW24 was one of the strongest cars on the grid. Montoya in particular became known for his fearless driving style and spectacular pole positions, making the FW24 a memorable entry in Williams’ storied history.

Tamiya recreated this car on the innovative F201 chassis, a 4WD, dual-belt platform that stood out for its complexity and realism compared to earlier F1 kits. With fully independent suspension and a central motor layout, the F201 delivered authentic handling characteristics. This build runs with a stock brushed motor, keeping the car true to Tamiya’s original specifications while providing smooth and dependable performance.

The body is finished to factory Williams BMW specifications, complete with Montoya’s race number and sponsor detailing. The deep blue and bright white paint scheme highlights the sharp lines of the FW24 and captures the look of one of the most iconic liveries of the early 2000s. Combined with the advanced F201 chassis, it makes for both a faithful RC replica and a tribute to Juan Pablo Montoya’s aggressive and exciting era with Williams.
