Audi Quattro A2

One of the most legendary rally cars of all time, remembered for revolutionizing rallying in the early 1980s with its groundbreaking quattro all-wheel-drive system. Competing in the Group B era, the A2 combined turbocharged power with surefooted traction, giving Audi a decisive edge on gravel, tarmac, and snow. Its dominance cemented the quattro name as a motorsport icon.

Tamiya recreated the A2 in 1/10 scale with a detailed polycarbonate shell mounted on the TT-02 chassis. Durable and versatile, the TT-02 provides a shaft-driven AWD system that suits the rally character of the Quattro. This build runs a stock brushed motor, delivering straightforward performance and reliability in line with Tamiya’s original specifications.

The body is finished in PS-59 Dark Metallic Blue, giving the Quattro A2 a unique twist compared to its traditional white rally liveries. The deep metallic tone emphasizes the car’s flared arches and boxy proportions, while the TT-02 chassis ensures dependable rally-style handling underneath. It’s a clean, distinctive take on one of the most important rally cars ever made.
