Volkswagen Beetle

One of the most recognizable cars of all time, loved worldwide for its simple engineering, curvy design, and cultural impact. From road trips to surf culture, the Beetle became a symbol of freedom and adventure, embraced by generations for its charm and versatility. Its timeless shape makes it a favorite subject for custom builds, both full-scale and in RC.

This RC project uses Tamiya’s highly detailed Beetle body mounted on the new XM-01 M-class rally chassis, a versatile 4WD platform designed for mixed-surface performance. Power comes from a Traxxas brushless motor, giving the model smooth, reliable speed and control. The XM-01’s rally-spec design adds to the character, making the Beetle not just a display piece but also a capable runner on dirt, gravel, and pavement.

Finished in a two-tone scheme of pearl white and PS-49 light blue, the car carries a bright, beach-inspired look. A custom surfboard designed and decorated by Tiara is mounted as the final touch, reinforcing its “Aloha” theme. With its detailed body, rally-ready chassis, and personalized flair, this Beetle blends scale realism, cultural personality, and RC performance into a one-of-a-kind creation.
